Table Talk is one of the leading full line producers of pies, providing its customers with a wide range of sizes and formats. We specialize in 4 inch snack pies, selling over 2 million snack pies per week. We also have significant business in the larger dessert pies, particularly 8 inch. We are currently selling over 300,000 larger pies per week, and this number continues to grow.
Our 4 inch pies are sold in both fresh and thaw-and- sell formats. We participate in all major retail segments, including supermarkets, convenience stores and mass merchandisers. Sales for fresh pies are focused on the northeast, while the thaw-and-sell pies are sold nationwide. While a substantial portion of the 4 inch sales are branded, we also have a significant amount of private label sales.
Our dessert pies, including the 6 inch, 8 inch, 9 inch and 10 inch pies are sold in a wide range of formats. While we do sell branded fresh product in the larger sizes, our main focus is on our private label sales to in-store bakery departments. We sell directly to major retailers, as well as through distributors. We sell pies both baked and unbaked formats, and in a variety of packaging styles. Our goal is to provide our customers with pies in whatever way they want them.
We produce pies in our two facilities located in Worcester, MA and Shrewsbury MA. Our Worcester plant is 150,000 sq. ft. and has 4 main pie lines, with three tunnel ovens and three spiral freezers. Our Shrewsbury plant is 40,000 sq. ft. and has 2 main pie lines with two tunnel ovens and two spiral freezers. In July, 2017 we will be opening a 3rd facility (50,000 sq ft) on Southgate Street in Worcester, MA
Our production capacity is over 3 million 4 inch pies per week and close to 500,000 8 inch pies per week.
We employ approximately 214 employees and 115 seasonal temporary employees.
We are GFSI certified under BRC standards since December 2012.
We are also Kosher certified through Orthodox Union-Dairy.
